2026 Ladies British Isles Championships

The third iteration of the Ladies British Isles Championships involving all 4 home Nations has been moved from it's previous slot in the calendar in October to a new slot in January.

The event will take place on Saturday 17/01/2026 and Sunday 18/01/2026 at Belfast Indoor Bowls Centre, Milltown Road, Belfast.

Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be competing for the honours over two days in both a team and individual format.

Nations compete in Singles, Pairs, Triples and Rinks Individual Championships, and contest the 'International' Team Championship made up of four rinks competing as a team.

2024 Ladies British Isles Championships

In 2024 the second Ladies British Isles Championships involving all 4 home Nations had taken place on Saturday 12/10/2024 and Sunday 13/10/2024 at Bro Myrddin Indoor Bowls Centre, Carmarthen, SA31 3BT.

Teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and of course Wales were competing for the honours over two days in both a team and individual format.

Nations competed in Singles, Pairs, Triples and Rinks Individual Championships, and contest the 'International' Team Championship made up of four rinks competing as a team.

Carmarthenshire, as a tourist destination, offers a wide range of outdoor activities. Much of the coast is fairly flat; it includes the Millennium Coastal Park, which extends for 10 miles (16 km) to the west of Llanelli; the National Wetlands Centre; a championship golf course; and the harbours of Burry Port and Pembrey. The sandy beaches at Llansteffan and Pendine are further west. Carmarthenshire has a number of medieval castles, hillforts and standing stones. The Dylan Thomas Boathouse is at Laugharne.
